Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join us at Burton and South Derbyshire College to provide end to end tutorial, mentoring and pastoral support to apprentices from enrolment to completion in the successful outcome of their apprenticeship.
This is a very varied role providing the right candidate with a fantastic opportunity to really help develop apprentices both in college and the workplace. This post would suit someone who really likes to help others achieve, is innovative and solutions focussed.
You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and administrative skills as well as an empathetic personality to assist individuals when they require extra or alternative support to enable them to achieve their goals.
The role is based across both college sites, the main campus in Lichfield Street, Burton on Trent, and the Stephen Burke Construction Academy in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire. Some work-based visits to apprentices in their place of work may also be required from time to time.
Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
