The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
An opportunity has arisen for Residential Surveyor to join an independent, RICS-regulated surveying firm providing professional property surveying and valuation services across London and the Home Counties.
As a Residential Surveyor, you will carry out RICS Home Surveys, manage your own appointments and deliver professional property reports to clients. This role offers a 60% fee split and flexible working.
We’re looking for two surveyors
London: We’re open to surveyors based anywhere across London, with particularly strong demand across South West London, including Chiswick.
Home Counties: We’re also looking for a surveyor to cover Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. Also, If you’re based in West London and would prefer travelling out of London rather than dealing with London traffic every day, this could be an excellent fit.
Areas covered: London, West London, South West London, Chiswick, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.
What we are looking for:
Approx 2 years’ direct experience carrying out RICS Home Surveys.
AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS qualification.
Strong understanding of residential property and local property markets.
Good report-writing and communication skills.
The ability to work independently and organise your own workload and appointments.
