The Role
As an Injection Mould Setter, you will play a key role in ensuring production runs efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities include:
* Setting, adjusting and optimising injection moulding machines to maximise efficiency and output.
* Carrying out safe and efficient tool changes in line with production schedules.
* Monitoring machine performance, cycle times and product quality.
* Diagnosing and resolving process and machine issues to minimise downtime.
* Calibrating masterbatch units in accordance with setting sheets and production requirements.
* Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, safety and quality throughout the production area.
* Recording downtime, scrap and production data accurately using the company's ERP system.
* Providing supervisory cover during holidays and periods of absence when required.
* Working closely with operators, supervisors and management to achieve production targets.
The Candidate
To be successful in this Injection Mould Setter position you will ideally have:
* Previous experience working as an Injection Mould Setter within a plastic injection moulding environment.
* Strong tool changing and machine setting experience.
* Good process optimisation and fault-finding skills.
* Experience monitoring cycle times, quality standards and reducing rejects.
* Knowledge of masterbatch calibration and processing adjustments.
* Good computer literacy and experience using production or ERP systems.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A proactive, organised and methodical approach.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* A good understanding of Health & Safety within manufacturing.
