About the Role
* Position: Computer Science Teacher
* Location: Southampton, Hampshire
* Contract: Full-time (Permanent)
* Start Date: September 2026 (or as soon as possible)
* Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities
* Teach engaging Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 & 4
* Prepare, deliver, and assess work in line with national curriculum standards
* Support students’ progress and encourage interest in coding and technology
* Contribute to the continued development of the Computer Science department and wider school community
* Participate in extra-curricular activities, such as coding clubs and competitions
Person Specification
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Degree in Computer Science or a related subject
* Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level
* Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of current curriculum
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to motivate and inspire students
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
