A specialist, industry-focused further education college in Northamptonshire is looking to appoint a Construction Technician to support the delivery of practical construction teaching. The Role
Working closely with teaching staff, you will ensure workshops are fully prepared, safe and ready for practical lessons. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing construction workshops, tools, equipment and materials for practical sessions
Maintaining tools and equipment to a high standard
Managing stock, ordering materials and keeping accurate records
Completing minor repairs and general workshop maintenance
Ensuring workshops remain clean, organised and compliant with health and safety requirements
Supporting students during practical activities where required
What do you need?
We're interested in candidates from a range of construction backgrounds, including those with experience in education or industry.
Essential requirements:
Experience within construction or building services
GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or equivalent
Strong understanding of workshop health and safety
Good organisational and practical maintenance skills
