Job Summary
As the HR, Policy & Project Specialist, you be responsible for overseeing the efficiency and effectiveness of the company processes and procedures within business policy. This involves planning and implementing policies and projects to improve quality, productivity and performance and providing HR legislative support.
Responsibilities & Duties
Human Resources
Review and implement employment legislation updates in partnership with our HR and Legal partner
Maintain and update all HR policies and other relevant documents such as the Employee/ Agency Worker HandbooksManage Agency Worker legislation, updating the “Terms of Engagement” when required
Create new starter contracts and associated employment documents for the permanent members of the team such as Main Statements of Terms, Offer Letters, Changes in Contractual Terms
Arrange new starter on boarding and inductions
Assist in HR meetings such as flexible working, grievances, disciplinary, investigations etc
Manage Employee of the Month nominations and announcements
Provide training to the team on HR policy when required
Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are up to date and in line with the requirements set by our H&S partner, ie DSE’s
Review employee benefit options on an annual basis
Work with Operations Director as required to plan company events
Policy & Projects
Ensure company policies are in place to ensure performance and efficiency is maintained
Identify policies and processes for review, update and implementing
Provide current business policy information to partners when requested
Complete tenders for new business opportunities
Oversee and implement new projects in line with third party suppliers and business partners
Deliver communication or training to team members as required
Research new initiatives that provide benefit to the daily operations
Reporting, Analysis & Systems
Provide reports and statistics to the stakeholders of the business and partners, as required
Analyse ongoing performance and provide advice on new approaches where necessary
Third Party Relationships
Build third party relationships with our current and new providers and obtaining new quotations where necessary
Continually review the systems used by the company, ensuring the best ROI, for example recruitment onboarding, CRM, advertising platforms, company website.
Review the performance provided of third-party suppliers to the business, sourcing new if required
Personal Specification
Essential
At least two years’ experience within an HR role
At least two years’ experience within a responsible operational role
Previous experience in reviewing/implementing processes in line with company policy
Can demonstrate a good knowledge of how to successfully manage projects
Good data analysis, planning and organisational skills
First class written and verbal communication skills
Experience with statistical analysis and data processing
Strong communication and third-party relationship management skills.
High level IT Skills
£15.50 - £15.50 per hour
