They are seeking a Qualified Accountant to oversee financial records for a diverse client portfolio while managing the daily operations of the practice team.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Conduct client meetings both virtually and in person.
✔ Provide expert tax advice and prepare annual accounts.
✔ Review and approve work completed by the accounting team.
✔ Handle self-assessment tax returns, HMRC audits, and investigations.
✔ Address client concerns and manage complex issues efficiently.
✔ Monitor and analyse KPI-related data, attending management meetings as needed.
✔ Represent the firm with professionalism, upholding high standards of service.
✔ Commit to continuous professional development.
✔ Mentor and support staff, fostering future growth within the firm.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
🔹 ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
🔹 Strong proficiency in cloud accounting software (FreeAgent, QuickBooks, Xero).
🔹 Proven experience managing a client portfolio and leading a team.
🔹 Solid knowledge of accounting and taxation, including income tax, corporation tax, VAT, and PAYE.
🔹 Excellent problem-solving skills, with a commitment to accuracy and professionalism.
🔹 Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with senior management.
🔹 Exceptional time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Desirable Skills:
✨ Knowledge of capital gains and inheritance tax.
✨ Experience handling HMRC audits and investigations.
✨ Background in performance management.
