Mechanical CAD Designer

North Manchester (Commutable from Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Heywood, Bolton and surrounding areas)

Are you a CAD Designer with recent commercial SolidWorks experience, looking for a position where you can develop your skills while working on interesting products within a modern manufacturing environment?

This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a highly experienced designer who will help you develop technically, giving you the chance to build your experience while taking designs from initial requirements through to manufacture.

This successful manufacturer has over 30 years of experience designing and producing innovative products for customers across a range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are now expanding a specialist area of their design team and are looking for an additional CAD Designer.

In this role you will use SolidWorks to produce detailed 3D models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings. You will work predominantly on established product ranges, allowing you to develop a strong understanding of the company's products and manufacturing processes while gradually taking on greater responsibility.

This role would suit a CAD Designer, CAD Technician or Mechanical Design Engineer with recent commercial SolidWorks experience, looking to develop their technical abilities within a friendly and supportive design team.

The Role:

* Producing 3D models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
* Working on established products and customer requirements
* Working 1:1 alongside an experienced designer
* Excellent training and technical development
* Flexible working hours with an early finish every Friday

The Person:

* Recent commercial SolidWorks experience is essential
* Mechanical design or manufacturing background
* Experience producing 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings
* Looking to develop within a long term permanent position
