We are currently recruiting for a reliable and detail-oriented Stock Controller / Stocker to join a busy team based in Southampton. This is a full-time 12-week position with the potential to be extended.
The role involves a mix of stock control, warehouse duties, and regular driving to local depots and customer sites. This is primarily a lone-working position, so confidence working independently is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Collect and manage stock for customer vending machines
* Drive a long wheelbased transit van to local depots and customer sites
* Deliver, replenish, and maintain vending machine stock
* Work independently to complete daily schedules and site visits
* Liaise with customers and account managers to maintain high service levels
* Ensure accurate stock records and update the central team
* Maintain high standards of organisation and housekeeping across all locations
* Assist at the trade counter when required
* Maintain company vehicle standards and ensure servicing compliance
* Complete and submit weekly control reports
Requirements
* Previous experience in stock control or warehouse work preferred
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Confident driving a long wheelbase transit van
* Comfortable working alone for the majority of the role
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Basic computer skills
Pay: £13.45 per hour
Job Type: Full-time (12-week contract with potential extensions)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
Location: In person – Hedge End
