Academics are looking for a Science Teacher with QTS who is immediately available to work in an Alternative Provision in Gosport which caters for secondary aged pupils with social and emotional needs and challenging behaviours.
They urgently need an experienced Science Teacher who is able to deliver their Science lessons. They are looking for soeone to start ASAP, full-time.
The suitable person must be able to confidently deliver Science across the school to mixed abilities with challenging behaviours and other complex needs.
Working hours are 8am - 2.30pm. At this stage, they are not sure how long the cover is needed so currently an ongoing need.
They work closely with their local schools in the Gosport/Fareham area to ensure that vulnerable students, whatever their needs, can continue their education in a learning environment that supports them, but still expects that they will achieve the best possible academic, social and vocational results.
Due to the challenging nature of the school in Gosport, the suitable Science teacher will ideally have previous experience of working in a similar setting, or with pupils with challenging behaviours in a secondary school. You must be proactive, have strong behaviour management skills, be able to build strong relationships with vulnerable students and have the ability to think on your feet.
