Associate Town Planner
Location: Southampton
Salary: Up to £50,000 (DOE) + Excellent Benefits
Carrington West are pleased to be partnered with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation across the South Coast and throughout the UK. Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline, they are looking to strengthen their Southampton planning team by appointing a Senior Planner, Principal Planner or Associate Planner.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and highly regarded planning team working across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, mixed-use, strategic land, regeneration and infrastructure projects.
The Role
As part of a growing planning team, you will:
·Manage a varied portfolio of planning projects from inception through to completion.
·Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals and supporting documentation.
·Provide strategic planning advice to a broad client base.
·Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities and key stakeholders.
·Attend client meetings, public consultations and planning committees where required.
·Support and mentor junior planners within the team.
·Play an active role in business development and identifying new opportunities (Principal/Associate level).
About You
You'll ideally have:
·MRTPI Chartered status (or be working towards it if applying at Senior level).
·Experience within either a consultancy or local authority planning environment.
·Strong knowledge of the UK planning system.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
·Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach.
·A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
