The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The Role
We are looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of a construction project based in Filton, Bristol.
The project consists of two small steel-frame buildings, with responsibility covering the delivery of the groundworks package, including foundations, drainage and external works, alongside overseeing the subsequent steel frame, cladding, roofing and internal fit-out packages.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with a strong groundworks and civil engineering background who is comfortable managing a project through multiple stages of construction and coordinating specialist subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day delivery of the project, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
• Take responsibility for the groundworks package, including foundations, drainage and external works.
• Coordinate and oversee the installation of the steel frame.
• Manage subcontract packages covering cladding, roofing and internal fit-out.
• Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant and materials across the project.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and regular site inspections.
• Ensure RAMS are in place, understood and adhered to.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Monitor progress against programme and identify potential delays or issues at an early stage.
• Liaise with the Project/Contracts Manager, commercial team, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and relevant documentation.
• Manage quality inspections, snagging and works through to completion and handover.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
• Previous experience working as a Site Manager within groundworks, civil engineering or main contracting.
• Strong knowledge of foundations, drainage and external works.
• Experience coordinating structural steel and follow-on construction packages would be advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and packages simultaneously.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, programmes and specifications.
• Strong health & safety knowledge and a proactive approach to site management.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage a project from the groundworks phase through to completion.
Qualifications

• CSCS – Management level
• First Aid at Work
• Relevant construction or civil engineering qualification desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
