The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Our client is seeking an experienced and RICS-registered surveying professional to lead their front line asset team. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a team of five surveyors, shaping the quality of stock data and ensuring residents receive a consistently high standard of service.
The Role
You will lead and develop a team of five asset surveyors, overseeing a rolling stock condition survey programme and maintaining high data quality to support long-term investment planning. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing building defects, scoping responsive repairs, and specifying remedial works.
You will conduct technical surveys for legal disrepair cases, carry out pre-, during-, and post-works inspections, and act as the technical point of contact for complaints and disrepair resolution. You will also monitor contractor performance and drive continuous improvement across the team.
The successful candidate will have
Full RICS membership (MRICS or FRICS)
A degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in building surveying or a related discipline
Solid experience in residential surveying within social housing or a similar environment
A strong understanding of building pathology, construction methods, and defect diagnosis
Experience managing or supervising a technical team
Working knowledge of HHSRS, damp and mould legislation, fire safety, and building safety requirements
Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with residents, contractors, and colleagues
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable
Experience with asset management systems and stock condition data standards
Knowledge of procurement and contract administration
