As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on task while maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise whole classes during teacher absences.
Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Ensure students remain focused and complete assigned work.
Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and engagement.
Support the wider school team and contribute positively to school life.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or similar setting.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Confidence leading groups of students independently.
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
A flexible, proactive, and professional approach.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
