We're seeking a proactive and inspiring Health and Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives at a busy site producing fresh food products. This hands-on leadership role involves shaping safety culture, championing environmental sustainability, and ensuring compliance across all operations.
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:
Providing the subject-matter expertise, leadership and coaching to build safety & health capability across the site.
Auditing health and safety performance, accurately reporting and investigating incidents and near misses.
Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders including contractors, regulators, and enforcement agencies.
Delivering in-house training and inductions to employees across the site.
The successful Health and Safety Manager will have:
Proven Health & Safety experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage employees, managers, contractors, and senior leaders.
Experience in food is advantageous.
Strong risk management, accident prevention, and safety culture expertise
Ability to lead incident investigations and implement effective improvements
Relevant qualifications (NEBOSH)
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
