Position: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: Special Needs School, Dawlish
Age Group: Secondary-Aged Pupils
About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team in Dawlish. Our school provides specialized education for secondary-aged students with a range of special educational needs, including:
Autism
Asperger's Syndrome
ADHD
Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in offering personalized support to our students, helping them to reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing individualized support to students and small groups
Assisting with classroom activities and preparing learning materials
Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and tracking progress
Encouraging positive behavior and social interaction
Offering personal care and assistance as required
