The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Key Responsibilities As Senior Vehicle Technician
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards
- Diagnose and rectify complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
- Perform advanced repairs including cambelt replacements, timing chain work, clutch and flywheel replacements, engine repairs and major mechanical overhauls
- Conduct diagnostic investigations using manufacturer and aftermarket diagnostic equipment
- Carry out suspension, steering, braking and drivetrain repairs
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and right first time
- Accurately complete job cards, service records and warranty documentation
- Carry out road tests and quality control checks following repairs
- Maintain high levels of workshop productivity and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer, warranty and health & safety standards
Skills & Qualifications
- MUST HOLD an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- At least 2 years' experience as a Senior Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- Own tools and toolbox
- Right to work in the UK (No sponsorship available)
Desirable
- MOT Tester Licence
- Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair & Replacement
- Previous Main Dealer experience
- Experience working with modern diagnostic equipment
