Our work focuses on four key areas to help each learner build a meaningful and independent future: employment, independent living, community inclusion, and health and wellbeing.
A day in the life of a Futures Coach would include:
* Providing support and guidance to our learners going through the transition in life from leaving education to entering adulthood
* Encouraging learners to develop effective communication and social interaction skills as well as behaving appropriately in public settings
* Ensuring accurate individual personal student records are maintained
* Supporting the development of learners’ confidence, resilience and motivation enabling them to make informed decisions with support about their future
* Carefully planning activities and opportunities for learners in a safe way
* Assisting with completion of all necessary evaluations, reports and documentation as required
* Promoting learner independence at all times whether that is with interviews, taking public transport and all interaction in the community
* Seeking partnerships with adult social services and external professionals to support the successful transition of learners from education to adulthood
