The Role
Lead and develop a small EHS team, support strategic direction, and champion continuous improvement across all EHS processes. A core part of the role is ensuring full compliance with UK legislation and internal standards while coaching colleagues to embed strong safety behaviours.
The company is part way through a EHS program so there is significant room to make improvements and have autonomy. Focus areas will include both behavioural safety and process safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop two direct reports through coaching, guidance and leadership.
* Drive EHS culture maturity and support employees through change.
* Lead evaluations of compliance with legal and other requirements.
* Support external audits and regulatory site visits.
* Coach colleagues to ensure incidents are fully investigated with robust corrective actions.
* Contribute to EHS performance reporting, trend analysis and lessons‑learned sharing.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external regulatory bodies.
Role Requirements
* NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma (or NEBOSH Certificate working towards Diploma).
* Experience in a Health, Safety and Environmental advisory role within a manufacturing or process role
* Strong knowledge of UK EHS legislation.
* Understanding of ISO 14001 & 45001 (desirable)
* Proven ability to influence culture and drive behavioural change.
* Strong prioritisation skills and the confidence to act as an independent thinker.

£60000.00 - £65000.00 per year
