The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The Role;
You'll be the Technical Sales Engineer for the Midlands region, building strong relationships with existing customers while developing new business. Your days will be spent visiting clients, understanding their challenges and matching them with the right solutions from one of the most respected product ranges in the industry.
You'll identify opportunities, generate and qualify leads, prepare quotations, negotiate and close sales. You'll work with internal teams to keep things moving and ensure customers get exactly what they need. Exhibitions, demos and events will feature too, giving you multiple ways to grow your network and your sales pipeline. You will be taking over a warm patch with already existing clients. So you will not only be identifying new opportunities but nurturing existing relationships.

What We Need From You;
Experience in technical or field sales, ideally within engineering, manufacturing or metrology
Strong communication and relationship building skills.
The ability to understand technical products and explain them clearly.
A self-motivated approach, comfortable working independently and planning your own workload.
A full driving licence and willingness to travel across your region.
