Surface Technology Specialist
Certain Advantage is hiring for a Surface Technology Specialist based in the Filton area.
This role is on a contract basis and is hybrid-based.

We’re working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and separate Space and Defense division.

The Role:
This role is for a Surface Technology Specialist/Materials Engineer—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.
You’ll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

Developing and deploying Materials, Processes and Test Technologies
Providing corrosion protection, sealing concepts and solutions
Ensuring reactive support for improvement projects
Ensuring EHS regulations (REACh) thanks to eco-efficient materials and processes
Adapting corrosion protection and sealing principles to a chromate-free environment.The Individual
We’re looking for people who can show:

Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical, Material Engineering or a similar field of expertise
Relevant background in corrosion protection and surface technology applied in the aerospace industry
Relevant background in aerospace materials, surface treatments, coatings, and sealants and manufacturingThe Benefits:
