The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Senior Salmon are recruiting reliable and hardworking Production Operatives to join a busy precast concrete manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role involving the preparation of moulds, reinforcement cages, and fittings prior to casting, while working alongside experienced operatives to ensure products are manufactured safely and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting moulds and units in line with production requirements
- Carrying out minor modifications and adjustments to moulds as instructed
- Cleaning, preparing, and maintaining moulds to a high standard
- Preparing reinforcement cages ready for placement into moulds
- Securing fittings, fixings, and components prior to casting
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Accurately transferring dimensions from technical drawings to a tape measure
- Working closely with experienced operatives and following established procedures
- Completing relevant production documentation and task sheets
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
Requirements:
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Confident using a tape measure and working with precise measurements
- Good practical skills and strong attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong awareness of health and safety
- Previous manufacturing, construction, or precast experience is advantageous, but not essential
Shift Patterns:
Applicants must be able to work one of the following shifts: MUST be flexible to work both!!!
Days
Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Friday: 6:00am - 1:30pm
Afternoons
Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm - 10:30pm
Friday: 1:00pm - 8:30pm
