The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
In this pivotal role, you will use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to model and assess the structural response of submarine propulsors under quasi-static and dynamic conditions. You will develop and review FEA models, technical reports, and design documentation, and approve work packages and drawings.

So, what will you be doing as a Composite Structures Engineer?
Lead and coordinate engineering activities, applying technical expertise and sound judgement to deliver projects within scope, time, and budget.
Mentor and share expertise with engineering teams to build capability.
Promote cross-functional collaboration and ensure compliance with relevant processes and standards.
Engage with partners and stakeholders to develop joint technical approaches, support business development, and represent the team in forums and customer meetings.
Ensure safe project delivery, identifying hazards and providing options to reduce risk to as low as reasonably practicable.
Apply governance consistently across technical programmes and act as a peer or independent reviewer where appropriate.What are we looking for in our next Composite Structures Engineer?
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
Excellent understanding of engineering principles.
Substantial experience of structural design to recognised codes of practice (Maritime or Civil).
Experience in Finite Element Analysis of structures and systems.
Proficiency in FEA software (ideally Abaqus).
Proficiency in CAD software.
