Quantity Surveyor
Location: Market Deeping, Lincolnshire
Salary: Up to £50,000 to £70,000+ Benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and growing construction business with a strong pipeline of projects across the UK.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their Quantity Surveying career, working within a supportive commercial team on high-quality construction projects from inception through to completion.
The Role
You'll be responsible for supporting the commercial delivery of multiple construction projects, ensuring costs are managed effectively while maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Procurement and management of subcontractors
* Preparing and reviewing subcontract packages
* Cost reporting and forecasting
* Managing valuations, variations and change control
* Preparing and agreeing final accounts
* Supporting project delivery from pre-construction through to completion
* Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
* Working closely with site and project management teams
About You
We're looking for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who is keen to develop their career within a growing business.
Ideally you'll have:
* Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
* Main contractor or developer experience (preferred but not essential)
* Knowledge of JCT contracts
* Experience managing subcontractor accounts
* Strong understanding of valuations, variations and final accounts
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* A proactive and organised approach to commercial management
* Full UK driving licence
