Working as part of a small team you will be responsible for detailed inspection of components and sub-assemblies for a highly regulated set of products, completing FAIR’s (First article inspection reports) and using various hand held inspection tools to ensure every part is compliant in line with detailed design drawings.
Key duties include –
* Inspecting mechanical components and assemblies using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Performing first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections on manufactured products
* Recording inspection results and maintaining accurate quality documentation and reports.
* Conducting visual inspections for quality - machining defects, corrosion, cracks, or damage etc
* Preparing non-conformance reports (NCRs) where required
To be considered for the role, candidates will have a proven track record inspecting machined parts and sub assemblies using various hand held tools. You will also have experience in writing FAIR’s and NCR’s and would have ideally worked in a highly regulated manufacturing environments for Aerospace, Defence, Marine, Automotive or Nuclear industries
