Are you a passionate Music Therapist looking to make a real impact? We are recruiting for a creative and dedicated therapist to work across two specialist SEN schools within a highly supportive multi-academy trust.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, sensory impairments, and complex learning needs, using music as a powerful therapeutic tool.
Hours are determind based of the candidates for the roles availability.
The Role:
Deliver 1:1 and group music therapy sessions aligned with EHCP targets
Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social development
Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and wider multidisciplinary teams
Use music to de-escalate behaviour and support engagement in learning
Track, monitor, and report on student progress
Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging therapeutic environment
Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Music Therapist (HCPC registered or equivalent)
Experience within SEN / SEMH / specialist settings
Strong understanding of behaviour management and trauma-informed practice
Confident supporting pupils with complex needs and communication barriers
Creative, adaptable, and patient approach
