Would you like to work for a growing local business that has the job security of being part of global food manufacturer. Due to additional high-speed production lines being installed they are looking for a new Shift Engineer to join their team.
Role & Responsibilities:
Responsible for reactive & planned maintenance across all areas of engineering - manufacturing, production, site services, infrastructure & plant equipment
Carry out PPM schedules effectively and efficiently
Working on high-speed production & packaging lines
Involved with site project work - installations & upgrades to machinery
Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs
Dealing with pneumatics, motors, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, drives, hydraulics, compressors
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Multi-skilled maintenance engineer - ideally electrical biased
City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualified in engineering as a minimum requirement
Must have completed a time-served-apprenticeship
Worked in a similar fast-paced manufacturing environment
PLC - electrical fault finding skills
Able to work to time sensitive breakdowns and repairs
Worked on structured PPM's - on own initiative and as part of a team
Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer type conditions
Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding, machining skills beneficial
