Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Service Manager to lead a team of 10 Field Service Engineers across the East Midlands region. This is a pivotal role, responsible for ensuring exceptional service delivery, maintaining strong customer relationships, and driving operational performance across the service function. As the face of our service operation, you will be passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences, leading from the front, and ensuring customer needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 10 Field Service Engineers, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance.
Manage day-to-day service operations across the East Midlands, ensuring customer service excellence at all times.
Act as the primary point for customer service issues, resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their requirements and ensuring their needs are consistently met. Virtually and in person by attending customer sites.
Monitor service performance against KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate engineer scheduling and resource allocation to maximise efficiency and customer responsiveness.
Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development planning for the service engineering team.
Work closely with internal departments including Sales, Operations, Technical Support, and Customer Service to deliver seamless customer support.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, company policies, and service procedures.
Analyse service metrics and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.

We would expect the successful Service Manager to be able to demonstrate previous Service Management or Team Leading experience, be an excellent communicator, with a positive "can do!" attitude. You will be supported 1 to 1 to become familiar with the company processes and procedures. This would be an ideal role for you if you have worked within service management, service supervisory or a service team leading position.

You will be joining the Corby branch of an established national organisation with an enviable reputation in their field. Working directly with the Branch Manager, this role offers variety on a daily basis.
