Trainee HR Assistant

Permanent, 33 days leave, Monday to Friday 8am till 5pm, Pension, Parking

Due to continued success and rapid expansion plans, a UK arm of a global manufacturing company has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee HR Assistant who is looking to kick-start their career in Human Resources to join their busy manufacturing site. You will provide key and varied operational support to the HR Manager, and other department managers:

Supporting the HR team with day-to-day operational HR activities
Assisting with recruitment, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews and communicating with candidates
Managing employee onboarding and induction processes
Maintaining accurate employee records and HR databases
Preparing contracts, offer letters and other employment documentation
Supporting absence management processes and maintaining attendance records
Assisting managers with HR administration and employee queries
Coordinating training schedules and maintaining training records
Supporting employee engagement initiatives and company events
Ensuring all HR administration is completed accurately and in line with company procedures
Assisting with disciplinary, grievance and investigation meetings by preparing documentation and taking notes where required

We would expect the successful Trainee HR Assistant to be able to demonstrate a strong desire to progress a career within an operational HR role. Have strong communication skills and people skills, with an open and understanding nature. You will need the ability to work well in a busy varied environment. An eagerness to learn and develop your skills, along with previous administration experience is essential. You will be supported 1 to 1 to become familiar with the company processes and procedures. This would be an ideal for a graduate who is looking to start their career with HR, or if you have worked within administration, admin assistant or a support position.

You will be joining the Corby site of a global manufacturing brand, that has been established for over 30 years with an enviable reputation in their field. Working directly with the HR Manager, this role offers variety on a daily basis.
