CNC Milling Machinist

Night Shift | Havant, Portsmouth

We're supporting a leading engineering business seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join their night shift team.

The Role:
You'll be responsible for setting and operating CNC machines, ensuring high-quality output while meeting production deadlines and maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
* Set and operate Mazak/Heidenhain CNC machines
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and G-code (ISO/Mazatrol)
* Maintain quality standards and 5S practices
* Work to set cycle times and deadlines
* Support continuous improvement (Lean / CI)
* Work flexibly across milling and turning when required
* Assist with cross-training and team development

Requirements:

* Offline programming (Edgecam/Mastercam)
* 5+ years CNC machining experience in manufacturing
* Experience with Mazak/Mazatrol controls
* Strong understanding of milling and turning
* Ability to read engineering drawings and CNC code
* Apprentice trained (preferred)
* Knowledge of Lean, 5S, and Health & Safety
