The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
My client is looking for a Parts Sales Support Specialist to join a growing spare parts team within an international construction and industrial equipment business.
This is a hands-on, customer-focused position where you will support the parts sales function by identifying the correct parts, preparing quotations, processing orders and ensuring customer enquiries are followed through to successful delivery.
You will also use customer, sales and inventory information to identify sales opportunities and support stock planning and availability.
Key Responsibilities
Handle customer and dealer enquiries by phone and email.
Identify the correct parts using machine details, parts catalogues and technical information.
Prepare quotations and proactively follow up sales opportunities.
Accurately process sales orders through an ERP system.
Monitor orders, backorders and deliveries, keeping customers informed throughout.
Support returns, warranty parts and general sales administration.
Identify proactive sales opportunities using customer, machine and sales data.
Support sales campaigns, promotions and customer follow-up.
Liaise with warehouse, service, sales and suppliers to resolve queries and ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently.
Prepare basic sales and operational reports.
Support stock and replenishment reviews to help improve parts availability.
Contribute to process improvements within the parts sales function.
About You
We are looking for someone who is customer-focused, commercially aware, organised and technically curious, with the confidence to communicate with customers and identify solutions.
Essential Experience
Previous experience in parts sales, sales support, order processing or technical customer service.
Ability to identify parts using machine details, catalogues or technical information.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Confident using Microsoft Excel and general computer systems.
Proactive approach with strong organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities effectively.
Desirable Experience
·Experience within one of the following sectors would be advantageous:
oConstruction equipment
oAgricultural machinery
oAutomotive
oCommercial vehicles
oPlant or machinery
oEngineering or other technical products
·Knowledge of technical parts such as filters, hydraulics, engines, undercarriage and wear parts would be beneficial.
·Previous experience using an ERP system would also be an advantage.
