The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Store manager / Material Controller to join a major infrastructure project in Friston (IP17) on a long-term basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing three separate store areas, ensuring PPE, equipment and materials are accurately recorded, controlled and readily available to the project team.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and maintain three store areas across the project.
· Receive, check, organise and issue PPE, equipment and materials.
· Accurately log all stock movements and maintain up-to-date inventory records.
· Monitor stock levels and identify replenishment requirements.
· Ensure equipment and PPE are correctly stored, labelled and accounted for.
· Maintain accurate records using electronic systems and/or spreadsheets.
· Carry out regular stock checks and reconciliations.
· Work closely with site management, procurement and project teams.
· Maintain a safe, tidy and well-organised stores environment.
· Ensure company and project procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements
· Previous experience working as a Storeman, Material Controller, Storesperson or similar on a construction/infrastructure project.
· Proven experience managing PPE and equipment inventories and accurately logging stock data.
· Strong organisational and administration skills with excellent attention to detail.
· Comfortable using computerised stock control systems (PURE system preferrable), spreadsheets and databases.
· Previous experience working for a Tier 1 contractor is essential.
· Experience within a large-scale infrastructure, construction, utilities, energy or engineering environment is highly desirable.
· Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple project teams.
· Reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
