The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Storesperson to join our client, a scientific manufacturing company based in South England. You will be responsible for the efficient management of inventory, including goods inward inspection, stock issue, and periodic inventory counts. You will support production and engineering departments by maintaining accurate stock records, managing consumables, and ensuring safe working environments in accordance with COSHH regulations. Your tasks will also include packaging customer orders and supplier returns, inspecting incoming materials, and assisting with low-level assemblies. As part of a small but dynamic team, flexibility and a willingness to support various operational areas are essential. The ideal candidate will have solid experience working within manufacturing or production environments, particularly with ERP systems, and possess a keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with ERP systems, stores, and inventory management
GCSE/A Level or equivalent in Maths and English
Proficient IT skills, including Excel and Word
Previous experience in a manufacturing or scientific setting
Good verbal and written communication skills
Professional, positive attitude, and presentable appearance
Experience working in a clean room environment and lean manufacturing techniques is advantageous
