The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Technician to support a major experimental engineering programme, working across a wide range of complex electrical plant and systems.
This is a hands-on role covering installation, maintenance, fault finding and commissioning across control systems, power conversion equipment, and LV/HV electrical distribution within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out installation, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
* Work across control systems, power conversion systems, and LV/HV distribution
* Support inspection and testing of electrical systems in line with BS7671 and internal codes of practice
* Provide technical support to Plant Responsible Officers (PROs) and wider engineering teams
* Supervise and support electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on plant systems
* Assist with fault finding on control systems within panels, cubicles, and plant equipment
* Support fault finding on large power conversion systems under supervision
* Assist with build, installation, and commissioning of new electrical plant and equipment
* Undertake precise and delicate electrical work, including instrumentation and connections (e.g. thermocouples)
* Generate and maintain technical documentation, including safe systems of work
* Take ownership of technical task delivery and work with limited supervision where required
* Support general engineering activities across the facility as needed
Requirements
* Completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship
* C&G 2330 Level 3 in Electrotechnical Technology or equivalent (ONC/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering acceptable)
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* Experience working in an industrial environment with 3-phase power systems
* Ability to work independently within a complex, high-hazard environment
Desirable:
* Inspection and Testing qualification
* Experience with control systems and power conversion equipment
* Experience working under formal safe systems of work (RAMS, method statements, risk assessments)
