The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We're recruiting on behalf of an established engineering and construction business looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee the commercial delivery of a range of construction projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong NEC3/NEC4 contract experience who enjoys taking ownership of project finances, commercial performance and contractual compliance.
What you'll be doing as Commercial Manager
Managing the commercial aspects of multiple construction projects.
Administering NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including Compensation Events, Early Warning Notices and final accounts.
Monitoring project costs, budgets, forecasts and commercial risk.
Supporting tenders, procurement and contract negotiations.
Producing commercial reports and working closely with operational teams and clients.
What we're looking for as Commercial Manager
Previous experience as a Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar.
Strong NEC3/NEC4 contract knowledge.
Excellent commercial, financial and negotiation skills.
Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar is desirable.
What's on circa £60,000 - £70,000 DOE
