Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, including heavy lifting, picking and packing, and shipping and receiving. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of goods as required.
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
* Build and assemble pallets for storage or shipment.
* Accurately pick and pack orders for dispatch.
* Maintain stock levels and assist with inventory management.
* Handle materials with care to prevent damage during movement.
* Demonstrate mechanical knowledge when performing basic maintenance on equipment.
* Load and unload goods from lorries or containers as necessary.
* Utilise the warehouse management system to track inventory and shipments.
* Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) regularly throughout the shift.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
* Basic mechanical knowledge is beneficial for equipment maintenance tasks.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
* A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with health regulations is essential.
* Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs.
