Class Two Driver required for a Commercial Waste Company based in Leyton, E10
Monday - Friday 0730am start - job finish
My client are a waste collection company, servicing commercial businesses only. The job involves driving around London, and physically removing waste or unwanted items from client sites. Think removals, but of waste instead!
Due to the nature of the work heavy lifting is required. It is therefore essential that the successful applicant is capable to carry out this nature of work.
Key Responsibilities:
· Drive Company vehicles and operate Company equipment in a safe and proper manner in accordance with Company Policies, procedures, and legislation.
· Assist the loading operation in waste and unwanted items into trucks.
· Provide excellent customer service at all times and to take ownership of customer issues on collection.
· You will be carrying out 5 – 15 collections a day, some single-item collections, some whole office clearances.
· You must be able to use apps on mobile phones to be able to access information on jobs and enter data from collections.
· Carry out vehicle and auxiliary equipment checks prior to the operation of any vehicle, reporting any defects immediately.
· On return to base, report to the Transport Manager for full debrief and report any exceptions in a timely manner.
· Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times
Experience & Qualifications:
· Full Category 2 Driving Licence.
· DCPC Qualification card required and proof of current hours of training.
· Experience of driving commercial vehicles.
· Knowledge of driving legislation.
