The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an an exciting opportunity for a R&D Design Engineer to join the Engineering team. The role reports to R&D manager and works closely with all teams across the business.
Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview
The R&D Design Engineer will work within the engineering team on existing and new R&D projects, and being responsible for:
Designing of new and redesign of existing products
Initial Build and Test of products throughout the design process
Reporting of test results with conclusions and proposed next steps
Producing bills of materials for products
Working closely with other members of the Engineering team to ensure objectives are met.
Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements
Degree qualified within a Mechanical Engineering or Design related subject
Experience of 3D CAD software, Preferably Autodesk Inventor
Experience of working with product development
Ability to read engineering drawings and experience of product testing
Ability to use own initiative
Based in a commutable distance of Witney, Oxfordshire
Good project management, organisation and communication skills, coupled with a flexible and cooperative approach.

Competitive Salary
37.5 hour working week. Monday to Friday.
25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
