Academics is recruiting enthusiastic Primary NQTs to work with welcoming schools across Newport from September 2026. Whether you're looking for flexible day-to-day work or longer-term opportunities, we're here to support you every step of the way.
You'll be supported by a dedicated consultant who has personal experience as a Newly Qualified Teacher. Having been through the same journey, they understand the challenges of starting your teaching career and can offer valuable guidance and support throughout your induction year.
What we're looking for:
Primary NQTs qualifying in Summer 2026 or teachers who already hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
A passionate and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
Confidence in delivering engaging lessons and managing a classroom effectively.
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and school staff.
Flexibility to work across a range of primary schools in Newport.
An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
