Our client, a successful franchise main dealer in Sidcup, is looking to recruit an experienced Workshop Controller to oversee a workshop comprising 14 ramps and 10 technicians. The role offers a basic salary of £37,500 - £40,000 plus bonus, working Monday to Friday from 7:45am to 5:45pm with no weekend working. In addition, the successful candidate will receive 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
Responsibilities
* Managing the day-to-day operation of the workshop
* Allocating work efficiently across a team of 10 technicians
* Monitoring workshop productivity and efficiency
* Ensuring work is completed to manufacturer and company standards
* Working closely with the Service Department to manage workflow and customer expectations
* Supporting technicians with technical and operational queries
* Maintaining quality control and health & safety standards
* Driving workshop performance and profitability
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Workshop Controller within a franchised dealership
* Alternatively, a strong Workshop Foreman or Senior Technician looking to progress
* Strong organisational and leadership skills
* Good understanding of workshop KPIs and productivity targets
* Excellent communication skills
* Full UK Driving Licence
