The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Newham is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Art Technician to support its successful Art Department from September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in art, design or creative media who is looking to work within education.
The Role
As an Art Technician, you will:
Prepare, organise and maintain materials, equipment and resources for practical art lessons.
Support teachers during lessons by setting up and clearing away equipment.
Ensure art studios and storage areas are clean, organised and safe.
Maintain specialist equipment, tools and machinery in line with health and safety regulations.
Assist with the preparation and mounting of student artwork for displays, exhibitions and school events.
Monitor stock levels and order art materials as required.
Support students during practical activities where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Have experience working within an art, design or creative environment.
Possess excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Have a good understanding of a range of art materials and techniques.
Be confident working independently and as part of a team.
Be proactive, reliable and enthusiastic.
Have a commitment to safeguarding and supporting young people's learning.Previous experience working in a school is desirable but not essential. Graduates in Fine Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, Product Design or related creative subjects are encouraged to apply.
