How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Love keeping the numbers in check, the invoices flowing and everything running like clockwork?

    We're recruiting a Finance Administrator to join a growing and well-established organisation in Renfrewshire. This full-time, permanent position is ideal for an experienced Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger Administrator or Finance Administrator who enjoys a varied workload.

    You'll play an important role in supporting the company's day-to-day financial and purchasing operations, working alongside a supportive team where your contributions are valued and you'll have the opportunity to further develop your skills.

    What you will get in your new role

    * Salary between £26,000 - £28,000 (dependent on experience)

    * Permanent position offering long-term stability and security

    * 28 days' annual leave, including bank holidays

    * Regular company events and opportunities to connect with colleagues

    * Cycle to Work Scheme

    * Access to an Employee Assistance Programme for additional wellbeing support

    * Free on-site parking

    * A supportive, inclusive, and progressive workplace culture

    Responsibilities as a Finance Administrator

    You'll keep the company's financial and administrative operations running smoothly. Working closely with colleagues, suppliers and operational teams, you'll take ownership of essential purchasing and accounts processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and timely communication across the business. You'll be responsible for:

    * Managing day-to-day financial transactions, coordinating supplier orders and maintaining accurate records, while supporting the wider team with reporting, stock management and general administrative duties

    * Processing supplier invoices and raising purchase orders using Sage accounting software, ensuring invoices are accurately matched to purchase orders and any discrepancies or queries are resolved promptly

    * Reconciling month-end supplier statements, requesting missing or duplicate invoices and identifying outstanding purchase orders to maintain accurate financial records

    * Maintaining organised invoice and statement records, preparing ad hoc analysis reports and providing administrative support to the wider business

    * Coordinating material requests from site supervisors and area managers, placing orders with suppliers and managing delivery timescales to ensure operational requirements are met

    * Overseeing site stock orders, monitoring purchasing requirements and liaising with suppliers and internal teams to support the smooth running of daily operations

    Your personality, experience and qualifications

    You'll have 1–2 years' experience in an accounts, finance or administrative position, with a strong understanding of day-to-day financial processes. You'll be highly organised, confident working with numbers and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy, deadline-driven environment.

    * Previous experience using accounting software, ideally Sage, with a good understanding of invoice processing, purchase orders and financial record-keeping.

    * Strong Microsoft Excel skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.

    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to liaise professionally with suppliers, managers and colleagues to resolve queries and keep processes running smoothly.

    * A proactive, methodical approach to work, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.
