How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a broad role offering exposure to management accounts, manufacturing costs, budgeting, forecasting, working capital and financial controls.

Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, providing insight into financial performance.
Monitor manufacturing costs, margins and working capital to help drive efficiency and profitability.
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and assist with corporation tax and other tax-related matters.
Maintain cash flow forecasts, the fixed asset register and monthly depreciation.
Reconcile intercompany balances, manage recharges and support multi-currency reporting.
Prepare payroll journals and contribute to year-end schedules, audit requirements and statutory reporting.
Work collaboratively with production, procurement, sales and operational teams to provide financial insight.
Support grant claims and liaise with external auditors, tax advisers and other relevant stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and internal controls. What We’re Looking For

Around 3–5 years’ experience in management accounting or a similar finance role.

Strong Excel skills and experience using an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
A proactive, commercially minded approach, with an interest in understanding business performance and improving processes.
Existing right to work in the UK.If you’re looking for a role that offers more than just month-end reporting, with the opportunity to build your commercial understanding and develop within an international manufacturing environment, we’d love to hear from you.
