How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the role and school

Teach Plus is currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Hounslow, starting ASAP. This full-time Teaching Assistant role involves providing 1:1 support to a Year 3 child with Autism and ADHD, helping them access learning, develop independence and engage positively with the school environment. The ideal Teaching Assistant will have a firm but fair approach, excellent behaviour management skills and the confidence to establish clear boundaries and consistent expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for a patient, proactive and confident SEN Teaching Assistant who understands the importance of structure, routine and positive reinforcement when supporting children with additional needs.

The school is a well-established primary setting in the London Borough of Hounslow, serving a diverse local community and committed to providing an inclusive, supportive and engaging learning environment. With a strong focus on pupil progress, positive relationships and high expectations for behaviour, the school aims to ensure every child has the opportunity to achieve their potential. The leadership team values consistency, teamwork and effective communication between teaching staff and support colleagues. The school promotes a broad and engaging curriculum, with an emphasis on developing pupils' academic, social and emotional skills in a safe and nurturing environment.

This Teaching Assistant opportunity would suit someone who is passionate about supporting children with Autism, ADHD and special educational needs (SEN) within a mainstream primary school. The successful candidate will be confident managing challenging behaviour, adapting their approach to meet individual needs and building a positive, trusting relationship with the child. If you are a Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role in Hounslow where you can make a meaningful difference to a child's educational experience, Teach Plus would love to hear from you.
