How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Join an Exciting New Food Manufacturing Project!

We are recruiting experienced Manufacturing Operatives to be part of a brand-new food production project with long-term opportunities available through to May 2027. This is not a repetitive production line role. We are looking for individuals who genuinely enjoy all aspects of food manufacturing and take pride in producing high-quality products while maintaining exceptional food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.

The successful candidates will be hands-on throughout the entire manufacturing process, from raw material intake and processing through to quality assurance checks, temperature monitoring, hygiene management, packing, and final product release. If you thrive in a fast-paced food production environment, understand the importance of GMP and food safety compliance, and enjoy being involved in every stage of the operation, we want to hear from you.

Due to the site's location and lack of public transport links, applicants must hold a valid driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.

    The Role

Working within a food manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for processing a raw vegetable into finished products through a variety of washing, milling, packing, quality, and hygiene processes.

    Key Responsibilities

Processing raw vegetables into finished wet and dry products in line with customer specifications.
Operating a range of food manufacturing machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
Packing finished products into food-grade packaging.
Carrying out quality assurance checks throughout the manufacturing process.
Recording temperatures, production data, and process information accurately.
Completing intake checks and unloading incoming raw materials.
Conducting finished product checks against quality and specification requirements.
Completing electronic and paper-based production records.
Performing daily start-up checks to ensure the production area is suitable for food manufacturing.
Carrying out end-of-shift cleaning and hygiene activities to maintain exceptional standards.
Working in accordance with all food safety, GMP, quality, and health & safety procedures.
Supporting a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across the site.

    What We're Looking For

Previous experience within a food manufacturing or food production environment.
A strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
Experience carrying out quality checks, temperature monitoring, and production record completion.
Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
A positive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
Someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects of food production rather than a single task.
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, hardworking, and committed to maintaining high standards at all times.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Good standard of general education.
Food Hygiene Level 1 Certificate essential.
Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate desirable.
Previous food manufacturing experience highly advantageous.
Understanding of GMP, food safety, and production hygiene requirements.

    What's On Offer?

    £13.50 per hour.
    Weekly pay.
    Monday to Friday working pattern.
    No weekend working.
Long-term ongoing work until May 2027.
Opportunity to join a brand-new manufacturing project from the start.
Stable work within a growing food production operation.
Immediate starts available for the right candidates. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced food production professionals who take pride in food safety, quality assurance, hygiene standards, and delivering high-quality products every day. Join a new project where your experience, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence will make a real difference from day one.
