How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with a well-established Glasgow-based organisation to recruit an experienced Employee Relations Adviser.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional with a strong employee relations background to join a busy and evolving business. You'll be responsible for providing expert guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters, partnering with managers to deliver fair, consistent and commercially sound outcomes while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

    The Role

Working as part of the HR team, you will act as a trusted adviser to managers across the organisation, supporting them through a broad range of people-related matters. You will manage a varied ER caseload, build strong stakeholder relationships and provide practical solutions that support both employees and the wider business.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is confident handling sensitive situations and takes a proactive approach to solving complex people challenges.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage a varied employee relations caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, capability, conduct and performance matters.

    * Provide clear, practical and commercially focused advice to managers across the organisation.

    * Lead and support investigations, hearings and appeals where required.

    * Ensure employee relations matters are managed in line with employment legislation, company policies and best practice.

    * Produce accurate documentation, reports and recommendations.

    * Identify trends, risks and recurring issues, recommending solutions and improvements where appropriate.

    * Work closely with HR colleagues and business leaders to promote a positive and consistent approach to people management.

    * Support the review and development of HR policies, procedures and working practices.

    About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

    * Proven experience in an Employee Relations, HR Adviser or similar role with a strong ER focus.

    * Experience managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish.

    * Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.

    * The ability to influence, support and challenge managers at all levels.

    * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

    * A calm, professional and solution-focused approach when dealing with sensitive issues.

    * Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

    * CIPD qualification, or working towards accreditation, would be advantageous but is not essential
