How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced HR leader to join a high-growth, PE-backed business at a pivotal stage in its evolution. Working closely with the CEO and leadership team, you will establish the people infrastructure, culture, systems and leadership capability required to support ambitious growth plans while preserving the entrepreneurial spirit that has driven success to date

    Client Details

Our client is a specialist provider of critical infrastructure support services, operating nationally across multiple locations throughout the UK. Having experienced significant growth in recent years and recently secured private equity investment, the business is now entering its next phase of expansion, with ambitious plans to scale its workforce, strengthen leadership capability and professionalise its people function.

The organisation combines the pace and energy of a founder-led business with the backing, investment and opportunity associated with a private equity environment. With growth continuing across both operational and commercial teams, there is a clear need for an experienced HR professional who can build capability, drive engagement and create the foundations for sustainable long-term growth.

    Description

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the senior leadership team, you will lead the development and implementation of the people agenda across the business.

    Key responsibilities will include:

Developing and delivering the overall people strategy.
Building HR policies, processes, systems and governance frameworks.
Leading organisational design and workforce planning initiatives.
Driving employee engagement, communication and culture programmes.
Embedding company values and behaviours across a growing workforce.
Developing leadership capability and strengthening middle management structures.
Improving recruitment processes, assessment methods and hiring capability.
Supporting attraction and retention strategies for critical operational talent.
Reviewing reward, recognition and incentive frameworks.
Identifying and implementing appropriate HR technology and people systems.
Providing coaching and guidance to senior leaders and line managers.
Producing board-level recommendations, reporting and people insights.
    Supporting future growth initiatives

    Profile

We are looking for a commercially minded HR professional who enjoys building, creating and influencing within fast-paced environments.

    You will bring:

Experience operating at Senior HR Manager or Head of HR level.
A track record of supporting growth, transformation or organisational change.
Must have experience within a founder-led, scale-up, private equity-backed or entrepreneurial environment.
Strong employee engagement, culture and organisational development expertise.
Experience implementing HR processes, systems and infrastructure.
Strong recruitment and talent management capability.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
The confidence to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
A proactive, resilient and hands-on approach.
The desire to spend time in the business, building relationships with operational and leadership teams rather than working remotely.

Annual bonus opportunity of up to 20%
    Company car or car allowance
    BUPA private medical insurance
