SSA are recruiting an Electrical Estimator on behalf of a specialist Mechanical & Electrical contractor based in North London. You will prepare accurate and competitive electrical tenders, working closely with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
About the client
Our client is a specialist Mechanical & Electrical contractor delivering technically demanding construction projects. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in securing new work, working closely with the commercial and project teams.
Key responsibilities
* Prepare detailed electrical estimates from drawings, specifications and tender documents.
* Complete quantity take-offs and calculate labour, material and subcontractor costs.
* Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
* Review tender requirements, identifying risks, exclusions and opportunities.
* Prepare tender submissions, clearly outlining pricing assumptions and clarifications.
* Attend tender review meetings and support handovers to project delivery teams.
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years Experience electrical estimating within M&E or electrical contracting.
* Good understanding of electrical installations, drawings and specifications.
* Ability to prepare accurate take-offs and competitive tender submissions.
* Experience obtaining and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
* Strong numerical, communication and organisational skills.
* Relevant electrical or building services qualification, or equivalent practical experience
Salary description
£60000.00 - £80000.00 per year
