How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you an experienced Chinese speaking Scientist with experience of Metabolomics / Lipidomics?

    Are you located in the New York area, or are you willing to relocate?

    If so, our international innovative technology service client that specialises in supporting biotechnology, chemical technology and new drug development companies, is keen to hear from you.

    The salary for this Senior Scientist role is $150,000 - $200,000 basic plus company benefits.

    The Company:

    Our client leverages its team's deep industry background and professional technical knowledge to achieve rapid growth in the biopharmaceutical industry. Focusing on the global trend of economic globalization and rapid development of information technology, they offer comprehensive technical support and development services to biotechnology, chemical technology, new drug research and development, and frontier technology companies worldwide.

    The Role:

    Lead the end-to-end implementation of LC-MS metabolomics / lipidomics workflows: sample preparation, method development, validation, data collection/analysis, and technical report writing.
    2. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mass spectrometers and LC systems (e.g., AB SCIEX QTRAP 6500 series, Thermo Q Exactive Plus, triple quadrupole instruments).
    3. Design and implement innovative LC-MS/MS detection methods to address complex matrices and sensitivity/specificity requirements.
    4. Write and follow SOPs; participate in drafting validation protocols and GLP-compliant documentation.
    5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define study scope, develop analytical strategies, and clearly communicate risks, timelines, and results.
    6. Support instrument validation, maintenance plans, and inventory management of critical standards/reagents.
    7. Mentor junior scientists and foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
    8. Stay current with metabolomics / lipidomics literature and introduce relevant advancements (methods, reagents, software).The Person:

    PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related Life Sciences (with 2+ years of post-graduation experience) or Master's degree (with 5+ years of experience).
    2. Solid practical experience in targeted metabolomics LC-MS method development, validation, and troubleshooting.
    3. Proficient in operating platforms such as AB SCIEX QTRAP 6500, Thermo Q Exactive Plus, and triple quadrupole mass spectrometers.
    4. In-depth understanding of LC-MS assay validation guidelines; familiar with GLP compliance documentation requirements.
    5. Experience in metabolite identification/spectral analysis and small molecule quantification.
    6. Proficient in biological sample pre-treatment techniques (protein precipitation, liquid-liquid extraction, solid-phase extraction) and LC separation methods (reversed-phase, HILIC).
    7. Proficient in mass spectrometry data processing systems, with clear scientific communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring on-time delivery.If you have the hands-on metabolomics / lipidomics experience we are looking for, speak fluent Chinese and live within a commutable distance of New York or are willing to relocate, APPLY NOW in complete confidence, for immediate consideration.
