How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A1 Jobs have a fantastic opportunity to join our clients Glasgow based business.

    Due to continued business growth and expansion, we are recruiting an experienced Sales & Operations Manager to lead a team of valuers and sales negotiators, overseeing property sales for both private and corporate sellers.

    This is a senior, hands-on role with responsibility for team management, valuations, instructions, property stock, auction delivery and sales progression. Working directly with the Managing Director, you will strengthen the sales operation and support the next stage of the business’s growth.

    Looking for someone with proven experience who can take ownership, manage competing priorities and deliver results through a team. You must be comfortable balancing the needs of individual sellers with the reporting requirements, approval processes and deadlines of corporate clients.

    Essential Experience and Knowledge

    Candidates must demonstrate:

    * Proven experience directly managing valuers and sales negotiators within estate agency or property auctions.

    * Experience handling both private seller instructions and corporate client accounts.

    * A demonstrable record of achieving team sales and revenue targets.

    * Strong knowledge of the Scottish property market, particularly Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

    * A sound understanding of Scottish conveyancing, including legal packs, missives and settlement.

    * Experience managing property stock, pricing strategies, negotiations and sales progression.

    * Confidence working to corporate service levels, reporting deadlines and approval requirements.

    * Practical knowledge of AML and data protection in property sales.

    * Strong leadership, commercial judgement, organisation and communication skills.

    * Experience using CRM systems and producing accurate reports and forecasts
